There were early signs of a little crush for small rational flats of the 1950s-60s. So we did it. Our serious and responsible Altbau flat has now a little sister, a 1958 Marshall plan flat, just nearby, in leafy Schöneberg. The little cub is playful and cuddly…

    hello Fry
    our only source for browsing was immobilienscout24. this is not an advertising, it’s just our experience…there are many other websites but we focused on this one because the offer was huge, and kept on visiting the flats we were interested in over a period of 2 years. So after a while you realize:
    a) what is on offer
    b) what you like
    c) that some flat are abundant and some are rare
    and then eventually when you see something you really like it’s because you’ve done your learning curve, so if the flat sort of impresses you, it’s because it is above average. It may have that interesting vista. Or be close to the U-bahn. Or simply but nicely renovated. Or maybe because the price looks about right.
